The Chicago Park District is excited to partner with Chicago based AdTraction Media, LLC on an advertising program that will generate revenue for the Chicago Park District. The Chicago Park District owns more than 8,100 acres of green space, making it one of the largest municipal park managers in the nation. The Chicago Park District’s 580 parks offer thousands of sports and physical activities as well as cultural and environmental programs for people of all ages. The Chicago Park District manages several popular attractions including the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain, Grant Park and the 18 mile Lakefront Trail along the shore of Lake Michigan. More than 60 to 70 thousand people access the Lakefront per day during the summer and more than 20 million people visit Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain annually, making it the second most visited park landmark in the U.S.
In December 2012, AdTraction Media, LLC executed a three year exclusive contract with the Chicago Park District securing 55 individual 12’x24’ (288 sqft) surface advertising locations along Chicago’s famed Lakefront. Each of the 55 locations will cycle a display for 28 days, six cycles throughout the summer, offering 330 total advertising opportunities.
